'And Yet'


Although it's dark and empty deep within you,
you are down and out, not knowing where to go.
Although there is sorrow, pain, and scars within you,
you've lost yourself so many years ago.
Although deep despair is overwhelming,
there is nothing, nothing else that you can see.
Yet the truth remains unbowed, unruffled,
for part of creation, you will always be.

You are, you have been, You will always be,
for what has been created, lasts eternally.
You are, you have been, one day you'll see,
the truth now still hidden, lives beyond this dream.

Although you hear a loud and stringent yelling:
'you are a looser, you are no good'.
A nasty voice that keeps on, keeps on telling:
'give up the fight, it is no use!'
Although a heavy load of guilt rests on your shoulders,
the feeling you are not worth to live has come to you.
And yet, a precious gift has once been given,
the light within, always belongs to you.

You are, you have been, You will always be,
For what has been created, lasts eternally.
You are, You have been, one day you'll see,
the truth now still hidden, lives beyond this dream.
